Letters from the following locales are included: On board the SS Friesland (bound for Europe), Brussels (Hotel de la Porte), Munich (Hotel Belle Vue), Rome (Grand Hotel Continental), Naples, Lake Maggiore, Chauionix (Hotel D'Angleterre), Lucerne (Swiss Hotel), Paris (Hotel St. Petersburg), and London (The Midland Grand Hotel). Obituary ; 1895 correspondence to Charlotte Adams; photocopies of small receipts, stamps, etc.

Lydia T. Adams was born in Kingston, Massachusetts on March 25, 1821, daughter of Thomas and Lydia (Cook) Bradford. She married George T. Adams on February 18, 1844 and gave birth to Horatio Adams on November 8, 1845. She died from "Arterio Sclerosis" on March 20, 1908. According to an obituary notice published in the April 4, 1908 issue of the Old Colony Memorial she was a direct descendant of Gov.
